Read Any Player, Give Off Nothing, Manipulate Your Opponents and Master the Ultimate Edge in Live Poker

A 12 Week Interactive Video Course Designed to Teach You How to Read Any Player, Give Off Nothing, Psychologically Manipulate Your Opponents and Master the Ultimate Edge in Live Poker

We are responsible for the largest behavioral study ever conducted on poker players

Hi! My name is Blake Eastman. My entire life has been dedicated towards three things: psychology, poker, and nonverbal behavior.

  • I am the Founder of the Behavioral Research company The Nonverbal Group.
  • I am the Founder of School of Cards and have been coaching poker for close to a decade.
  • I was an Adjunct Psychology Professor at the City University of New York.

Over the past 6 years I led a team that conducted the largest behavioral study ever on poker players. This was an extensively labor intense process which required the recording, tagging, and analysis of thousands of hours of video. Let me explain exactly what we did.

STEP 1: RECORD

We start our process with recording poker players and creating behavioral datasets. Our studies utilize RFID poker tables and between 6-10 camera angles to record every single movement at the poker table. We also utilize psychophysiological instruments such as the Empatica E4 to collect additional data focusing on different states of physiological arousal. Our recording efforts are ongoing and we currently have close to 200 terabytes of raw footage of both cash games and tournaments ranging from micro to high stakes.

STEP 2: CODE & MEASURE

In order to perform the level of analysis we require, we need to tag and code every movement and action at the table: every bet, check, call, raise, fold, blink, smile, smirk, weird facial movement, and word spoken, it's all coded using both qualitative and quantitative methods. In order to code such a large database, we use automated and manual coding procedures, meaning that when a computer isn’t tagging facial expressions, a member of our research team is manually coding every single action at the table.

STEP 3: ANALYSIS

To analyze this massive dataset, we have created what we call the CAT (Contextual Analysis Tool), which combines all of the players’ hands and every action at the table with every single behavior and when it exactly occurs within 1/30th of a second. This way we can see how actions, hand strength, and behavioral events impact behavior at the table. This gives us the ability to answer any question we have about the relationship between behavior and actions at the table. For example, what does an increase in blink rate in post flop situations mean?

OUR RESEARCH INVOLVED:

  • Marking, coding, and analyzing over 600,000 blinks at the table.
  • Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis on over 25,000+ card checks at the table.
  • Creating a database to store and analyze contextual game elements with behavior. It’s basically a Pokertracker for behavior. It’s stored in POSTGRES and analyzed using mainly R.
  • Pioneering several methods for tagging, recording, and analyzing the behaviors of poker players.
  • Watched and compared, more 3bets, river shoves, donk bets than you could possibly imagine.
  • Analyzing every single subtle change in the human face at the poker table.

WHAT WE FOUND

After Completing The Deepest Dive into Human Behavior, We Have Reached 7 Truths About Poker Tells and Behavior at the Table.

We have recorded over 100+ poker players from multiple angles and have produced the largest and most comprehensive video database of players behavior ever.

INSIGHT #1

Poker Tells Can Be Used to Easily Narrow a Player’s Range

The way a player bets, the method they used to check their cards, their bet style, and so many other behaviors can be used to reliably narrow a player's range. Without knowing it, players display specific behaviors that can be correlated to portions of their range. Some of these are player specific and others are trends in human behavior found in specific play types.

INSIGHT #2

The Strategies Players Use to Reduce Information Actually Give Off More Information

We have found that players who try to standardized their behavior and become “unreadable” are often significantly easier to read.

INSIGHT #3

Most Advice on Poker Tells is So Basic It’s Incorrect

You have probably heard this type of advice before. Its when a talented player will make a statement like “If a player looks at their chips, that means they have a strong hand”. We call it the “X Means Y” error and it’s rarely correct enough to be useful.

INSIGHT #4

Using Certain Factors You Can Reliably Predict Where You Will Find Poker Tells in Players

Certain factors such as player experience, pre-flop routines, facial movement, and more can be used to predict where and when tells are going to happen in players.

INSIGHT #5

Most Advice on Poker Tells is So Basic It’s Incorrect

Doesn’t matter if you are playing 1-2 or the highest stakes in the world players still have tells. You will find usable behavior at every experience level and stakes in the game. Just not the really basic and classic tells.

INSIGHT #6

Telling players to standardize their behavior makes them easier to read

The average player who practices a concealment strategy is more likely to give off information when they attempt to standardized their behavior.

INSIGHT #7

You Can Teach Players to Effectively Read, Conceal and Manipulate Players

We Spent the Past 5 Years Carefully Constructing and Validating an Approach For Reading, Concealing, and Manipulating Behavior at the Poker Table

THE BENEFITS OF BEHAVIOR

When you understand how to read, conceal, and manipulate behavior, you are able to do the following:

Reliably Use Behaviors to Narrow and Define a Player’s Range

A core process in poker is trying to determine what players have. Great players will take advantage of as much information as possible when narrowing their opponent’s range. One of the primary areas where you will improve is your ability to figure out what players have. If you are a serious poker player. I don’t think we need to express how powerful that ability actually would be.

You Will Substantially Increase The Frequency and Accuracy of Your Bluffs

Bluffing is a critical part of poker. However, most players don’t understand who to bluff, when to bluff, and how to execute. Behavior completely changes this. After studying how players move at the table, spots where a player is bluffing will become blatantly obvious. You will not only know when you should pull the trigger but have the confidence to actually follow through.

Highly Skilled Opponents Will Become Easier to Read and Exploit

Your opponent can perfectly balance their aggression, mix up their play, and be highly difficult to play against. However, it doesn’t mean they don’t have tells. In fact, the better the player, the more likely the behavioral information they display will be useful. After learning to read behavior you will find these players getting frustrated when you're re-shoving with air and thin call their obvious bluffs.

Massively Increase Your Confidence at the Table

Confidence is one of the most underrated attributes of an exceptional poker player. In order to make thin calls and well timed bluffs you need to be confident that you are taking the correct line. Beyond Tells adds an entirely new level of information to your game which has profound effects on your overall confidence at the table. You will also find yourself significantly in more control with your new edge.

Become Unreadable By Reducing the Unconscious Behaviors That Give Off Your Card Strength

Most players (even world class players) have no idea how to effectively prevent tells. In fact, the things they do often making reading them easier. While training your ability to read behavior, you will also learn to master your own movement at the table and craft a customized method for making yourself very difficult to read.

Psychologically Manipulate Your Opponents With Speech Play and Subtle Changes In Behavior

Most people think finding tells is a passive pursuit and involves sneakily watching opponents when they aren’t looking. But sometimes you WANT them to know you’re looking because that induces a change in behavior. Often, the true power of behavior is unlocked through the interaction and the psychological manipulation of your opponents. Once you learn to read behavior, you can start to unlock the power of truly manipulating it.

Get More Exploitive, Creative, and Play a Different Style of Poker

Most players play a highly boring style of poker. They wait for that perfect hand and then they fold the majority of the time. This is what we call a card-based approach to poker. Adding behaviors to your game provides the information necessary to expand your range and play a much more creative and situational style of poker.

Never Make a Leveling Error Again

Ever think your opponent was smart enough to fold when you were clearly repping that Ace on the river, only to be shocked when they call. Players constantly make the mistake of thinking their opponents play like them. Behavior changes this by giving you the ability to truly understand what level a player is thinking about and how to best approach them at the table.

Play Significantly Better Poker and Significantly Increase Your Hourly Rate

At the end of the day, hourly rate is one of the most important metrics you can track. Behavior will allow you to easily identify weakness, add more attack, make better folds and calls. It will significantly increase your hourly rate and maximize the efficiency of your time at the table.

Prey on Weaker Opponents

Normally when you prey on an opponent, you are exploiting fundamental problems with their game. For example, the fact that a player raises too wide or limps too often. The Beyond Tells Training gives you the information to prey on your opponents at an entirely different level. By becoming hypersensitive to weakness and apprehension in behavior, you will be able to identify and attack weakness like never before.

Reach the Ultimate Level of Focus at the Poker Table

Focus is one thing that every poker player will struggle with at one time or another. Remaining fully focused and aware at the table for a prolonged period of time is incredibly difficult. Looking for tells creates an entirely new puzzle at the table, one that will engage your thought process and make you more present and aware than you have ever experienced.

INTRODUCING

THE BEYOND TELLS 2.0 TRAINING

THE BEYOND TELLS 2.0 TRAINING

A Highly Immersive 12 Week Interactive Video Course Designed to Teach You to Read Any Player, Give Off Nothing, and Psychologically Manipulate Your Opponents

After analyzing thousands of hours of video footage and working with thousands of players of all different skills, we have created a product that will transform the way you play live poker. Not a book, not a collection of random slices of people’s behavior. This is the most robust POKER COURSE built on top of the most extensive look into human behavior at the poker table.

WEEK 1 - THE MASTER FRAMEWORK

Learn A Modern and Data-Driven Approach to Building Live Reads at the Poker Table

Week 1 is all about laying the foundation using a high level overview of how behavior can be used at the table. We want you to understand the world of behavior from a macro perspective, and get you to change the way you see tells, recognize mistakes made in the past, and reveal the raw potential of poker tells at the table. We will create a theoretical matrix into which every Beyond Tells concept will fit.

THE MASTER FRAMEWORK FOR POKER TELLS Before we take a deep dive into understanding behavior at the table, we need to go over our master framework: Behavior - Context - Why. Everything you learn will fit into this master framework for poker tells. By going over it from the very beginning you will see how your ability to observe behavior, absorb context, and figure out the "why" gets significantly better throughout the duration of the course.

THE POWER OF BEHAVIORAL PATTERNS AT THE TABLE In Beyond Tells you are going to be spending a considerable amount of time learning to predict, identify, and conceal patterns at the poker table. In Week 1 our goal is to give you a higher level overview of how patterns form and why they are so valuable to pay attention to. We will also cover two of the four patterns found at the table: Paved Patterns and Player Routines.

AN INTRODUCTION TO HOW A PLAYER’S REGULATION GIVES UP INFORMATION A major theme in Beyond Tells is going to be regulation. Players are always using various methods to conceal their behavior at the table and we are going to learn to reverse engineer those methods. In Week 1 our goal is to give you an overview of how players regulate so you can start to understand the value of examining regulation at the table.

COMMON POKER TELL MISCONCEPTIONS When it comes to poker tells, there are a lot of misconceptions in the poker community. We will go over some common poker tell misconceptions and explain how they were developed so you don’t make the same mistakes at the table.

THE POKER TELLS ASSESSMENT What gets measured gets managed. Before we start building your ability to read behavior, we are first going to test it. Our poker tells assessment will have you see how much behavior is really part of your game and if you are good at picking up subtle changes in your opponent. This will also show you later in the course just how far you have come.

NARROWING RANGES, INCREASING YOUR CONFIDENCE, GETTING EXPLOITIVE AND MORE For too long the value of behavior at the table has gone under appreciated. In Week 1 we will show you how paying attention to behavior will allow you to effectively narrow a player’s range, significantly increase your confidence in your reads, and allow you to play a much more exploitive style of poker.

HOW TO ESTABLISH A DEEPER LEVEL OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE AT THE TABLE Throughout the training we will be working on become significantly more aware of our thoughts, feelings, and emotions at the poker table. In Week 1 we will go over how understanding the Filter Model of Perception is the first step towards establishing a rock solid level of emotional control at the table.

THE “I DO THAT” EXERCISE While watching the hundreds of hours of video footage in Beyond Tells 2.0 there are going to be times where you will say to yourself “I do that.” It might be the way a player bets or their reaction to sizing on the turn. The “I Do That” Exercise is designed to get you to become more aware of your own behavior by focusing on others. It’s also something we will do throughout this entire course.

WEEK 2 - ABSORBING BEHAVIORAL INFORMATION AND CREATING A BASE STACK

Live Reads Require a Solid Foundation. Learn Exactly How to Build It.

During our research we found that one of the ways to significantly increase the accuracy of a read is to surround it with context. Week 2 is all about building the foundation that this entire skill set will be built on, something we call The Base Stack. Building a base stack for your opponents will allow you to predict their tells, increase the accuracy of your reads, understand what they are capable of, and a lot more. In Week 2 we will go over the following:

ADVANCED BASELINING FOR POKER PLAYERS The term “baselining” is often used when discussing body language. But the real question is how do you actually baseline? What should you follow, when should you follow it, and most importantly HOW should you be following behavior? In Week 2 we will be going over a specific process for baselining the behaviors of players and reinforcing that with dozens of interactive tests, assessments, and walkthroughs.

HOW TO TRACK, DISSECT, AND PREDICT PLAYER MOOD Poker is a game with a lot of ups and downs, because of this players often have massive swings in mood. A player can go from happy to frustrated and back to happy in the span of 2 hands. In Beyond Tells 2.0 you will learn how changes in mood can turn a player without any observable tells into a goldmine of information. We will also develop our ability to effectively track mood in multiple players and even predict when they are going to leak the most information.

STEP BY STEP WALKTHROUGHS OF SEVERAL DIFFERENT PLAYERS After covering the theory, we will take you through step by step breakdowns of different players so you understand exactly how the skillset is applied in real time. In our walkthroughs we will also explore the other ways you can use a base stack to make better decisions at the table.

COMMON POKER TELL MISCONCEPTIONS When it comes to poker tells there are a lot of misconceptions in the poker community. We will go over some common poker tell misconceptions and explain how they were developed so you don’t make the same mistakes at the table.

REDEFINE “CAPABILITY” AT THE POKER TABLE When discussing a player’s actions, “capable” is a word frequently used in the poker community. In Week 2 we will show you how behavior can be used to determine if players are actually capable of bluffing, taking alternate lines, and a lot more.

REINFORCE THE SKILL SET WITH COORDINATED PRACTICE TESTS AND QUESTIONS After learning the theory and application of building a base stack you will heavily reinforce this skill set. You will breakdown behavior in our practice tests and receive immediate feedback. This will help you refine the skill set and get you to baseline behaviors quickly and effectively.

HOW TO GAUGE A PLAYER’S EXPERIENCE Identifying your opponent’s experience is going to be a critical skill that will increase the accuracy of your reads. While it is relatively easy to identify if a player is experienced or not, most players don’t actually factor experience into their thought process. We will learn how to quickly gauge a player’s experience so we can increase the accuracy of our reads and better predict the types of tells we are going to find.

HOW TO QUICKLY IDENTIFY THE BEHAVIORAL OUTLIERS An abnormally high blink rate, a slight tremor in a player’s hand, a consistent rapid shift in gaze direction. Sometimes our reads will be affected by abnormal changes in behavior that have nothing to do with poker. We will teach you how to identify and make sense of all the strange behavior you see at the table and how to apply it to the situations you will encounter in-game.

ACCURATELY DETERMINE A PLAYER’S LEVEL How many times have you looked at your opponent and thought to yourself “How could you have made that call?” A player’s rationality and the order of their thoughts are displayed on their face, and often give you insight into what level they are on in that moment. You just need to know exactly what to look for.

THE BASE STACK CHEAT SHEETS Creating a base stack involves several steps, but we will make taking these steps easy with our base stack cheat sheets. These will help refine your process and after using them you will see that your ability to baseline a player and build a base stack will become second nature.

BUILD YOUR OWN BASE STACK AND DEFINE YOUR IMAGE Part of the beauty of building a base stack is learning exactly how to manipulate your own, and part of becoming unreadable is being able to have full awareness of the image you are giving off at the table. In Week 2 you will not only build base stacks for your opponents but also for yourself.

WEEK 3 - THE HANDS, THE MOST IMPORTANT MOMENT, AND DEFINING PREFLOP RANGES

Learning to Use Your Opponents’ Hands and Nothing Else to Put Them in the Palm of Yours

When it comes to usable information at the poker table, the hands are the most important part of the body by far. In fact, the moment after a player checks their cards is the most important moment for behavior because of the actions that the hands take. This is why we will spend an entire week of content on just the hands, in just that moment. Nothing else. Week 3 will be the first week where your eyes really open to the power of tells at the table. In Week 3 we will:

DISCOVER THE 5 PREFLOP PAVED PATTERNS THAT REVEAL A PLAYER’S RANGE Card rechecks, delayed apexes, chip patterns, and more. There are certain patterns in the hands that frequently came up during the Beyond Tells 2.0 study and were strongly correlated with specific portions of a players range. We will go over each pattern and show you exactly how and when to use it.

LEARN TO IDENTIFY, REMEMBER, AND DISRUPT PLAYERS’ PREFLOP ROUTINES The average player has some sort of specific routine they use preflop. They might check their cards, then put a chip on their cards, then bet. Players think these routines prevent them from giving off information but they often paradoxically give us even more information to use. We will show you exactly how to identify a players routine and reverse engineer its meaning. You will be shocked at how you can use this to reliably put players in the palm of your hand.

WATCH BLAKE BREAK DOWN 100+ CARD CHECKS One of the most effective ways to read the hands is to hear us walk you through the process. We will get you hypersensitive to the changes in hands by having you examine hundreds of movements from dozens of different players.

AUDIT YOUR OWN MOVEMENT AT THE TABLE AND REDUCE THE INFORMATION YOU GIVE OFF IN THE HANDS Most players have no idea how much they are giving off via their hands. After completing the Week 3 content you will audit your own movement and start to develop specific strategies to become unreadable through the hands.

MASTER INTERPRETING THE HAND-THOUGHT CONNECTION The real value of the hands is that they are often connected to thought. Because a player requires their hands to execute decisions at the table, the hands often display that thought process. Part of mastering the hands is dissecting the connection between thoughts and the movement of the hands during play. Something we will do extensively in Week 3.

THE HAND ONLY EXPLOITS Certain movements from certain players are just too obvious to not attack. We will go over several predefined movements in the hands that you need to attack. The value available from spotting and attacking these alone will easily pay for the price of this course.

USE A BASE STACK TO IDENTIFY THE MOST IMPORTANT MOMENT FOR THE HANDS In Week 3 we will show you how to practically apply and use a base stack to determine which players at your table are likely to give up the most information in the hands.

PLAY AGAINST A PLAYER JUST BY PAYING ATTENTION TO THE HANDS The hands are so powerful that they are often the only thing you need to pay attention to. Watch us break down what cards players hold just by focusing on the hands and nothing else.

PRACTICE AND REINFORCE YOUR ABILITY TO READ HANDS Real recorded games with practice tests, reinforcement modules, and walkthroughs. By exposing you to so much movement at the table you will quickly start to master using the hands to interpret actions in-game. The next time you sit down at a poker table you are never going to look at another player’s hands the same way again.

WEEK 4 - UNDERSTANDING REGULATION AND DISSECTING THE HUMAN FACE

The Science of Human Regulation at the Poker Table

Regulation is one of the most fascinating elements in poker because the average player has no idea that the method they are using to conceal their behavior is actually making them easier to read. Players will try to be as still as possible, but will be noticeably stiller in spots where they are bluffing versus at the top of their range. In Week 4 we will take a deep dive into regulation at the table and go over some of the following:

THE NEUROLOGICAL EDGE If we are going to truly understand how behavior changes we need to understand the source of that change… The Neurological System. We will take a deep dive into the origin of emotional arousal and movement at the table. At the end of Week 4 you will not only notice that someone’s blink rate is increasing but you will understand exactly what is the source of that change. Yes… an understanding of science will make you a MUCH better poker player.

THE POWER OF BEHAVIORAL PATTERNS AT THE TABLE Smiles are one of the most complicated expressions in human behavior. They can have different timings, intensities, and meanings, and are used in a wide range of social constructs both on and off the table. So it makes sense that paying careful attention to smiles at the table can be a major source of value. You just need to learn who to watch, when to watch them, and what to look for.

AN INTRODUCTION TO HOW A PLAYER’S REGULATION GIVES UP INFORMATION When a player gets excited at the table they are also actively trying to conceal it. Luckily for us, players are going to handle emotion in very similar ways. By learning the 4 ways players deal with emotion at the table you will be able to identify some really obvious spots where players are at the top of their range or bluffing.

COMMON POKER TELL MISCONCEPTIONS When it comes to poker tells, there are a lot of misconceptions in the poker community. We will go over some common poker tell misconceptions and explain how they were developed so you don’t make the same mistakes at the table.

CONCEALMENT STRATEGY WALKTHROUGHS In our concealment strategy walkthroughs we will dissect a player’s method of regulation and show you exactly how we use that to build reads. You will be exposed to players from a wide range of backgrounds, an experience that will mimic most of your own live games.

THE POKER FACE DECONSTRUCTED What gets measured gets managed. Before we start building your ability to read behavior, we are first going to test it. Our poker tells assessment will have you see how much behavior is really part of your game and if you are good at picking up subtle changes in your opponent. This will also show you later in the course just how far you have come.

NARROWING RANGES, INCREASING YOUR CONFIDENCE, GETTING EXPLOITIVE AND MORE We have all seen it. Someones neck pulsating in a spot or someone's heart beating so hard it’s clearly visible. But the question is what does it mean? We have seen players show high indications of stress in spots where they are marginal and bluffing or just trying to get more value. We will show you exactly how to understand the obvious changes of physiological arousal at the table.

COMPARE DOZENS OF BLUFF VS. VALUE SPOTS One of the quickest ways to establish an understanding of concealment is comparison. We will take you through dozens of examples where players hold various parts of their range. Seeing side by side video footage of when someone is bluffing versus when they have the nuts will prepare you to identify the same deviations at the table.

DEVELOP YOUR OWN CONCEALMENT STRATEGY AND GIVE UP NOTHING In Week 4 you will start the process of building your own concealment strategy. One that is customized around your experience, understanding, and awareness. A unique approach is the only way to ensure you aren’t personally giving off information, even while taking it in from your opponents.

WEEK 5 - A SYSTEMATIC APPROACH TO BUILDING LIVE READS

Learn to Navigate, Prioritize and Identify Information at the Table

After the first 4 weeks of Beyond Tells you are going to be shocked at all the ways players give off information at the table. However, you should also be a bit overwhelmed. There is so much movement at the table. Who do you watch, when do you watch them, are certain players better to follow than others? The answer lies in our ability to be systematic at the table. In Week 5 we will start to approach building reads in a systematic fashion so we can get the information we need as quickly as possible.

WHY WE HAVE TO SYSTEMATICALLY BUILD OUR READS If you get overwhelmed, if you aren’t establishing your reads, you aren’t being systematic. Before we dive deep into the systems we want to understand exactly why there is power in developing a systematic approach to poker tells at the table. This will not only help your ability to build live reads but also transform how you play poker.

THE MASSIVE PRE-FLOP ADVANTAGE: THE BASIC BUT DEADLY SYSTEM A major percentage of our reads are going to be built primarily on preflop behaviors. One of our systems is going to be built around looking for and exploiting changes in players’ preflop behavior. Doing this alone is going to give you the ability to narrow ranges with scary accuracy.

SYSTEM REINFORCEMENT Once you learn the systems, you are going to need to reinforce them and practice. In week 5 we will be applying all of the core systems to real recorded games and you will get the opportunity to see how good you are at applying them through interactive practice tests.

CONCEALMENT STRATEGY WALKTHROUGHS In our concealment strategy walkthroughs we dissect a player’s method of regulation and show exactly how we use that to build reads. You will be exposed to players from a wide range of backgrounds, an experience that will mimic most of your own live games.

THE BEHAVIORAL GOLD MINE: HOW TO IDENTIFY THE GREATEST POTENTIAL If you pay systematic attention to behavior, you are going to find value in no matter who you follow. However, some players are going to be the perfect combination of deep stack, aggressive, and highly readable making them goldmines of information. In Week 5 we will focus on methods for identifying the behavioral equivalent of an ATM!

THE ONE-TWO SWITCH The One-Two Switch is a simple but very effective system. It ensures that you are picking up on valuable information by systematically watching two players at the table. Do this effectively and you will see how the reads from just 2 players in your session can pay for the entire course multiple times over.

WEEK 6 - DESIGNING AND BACK TESTING YOUR OWN SYSTEM

Design and Test a Fully Customized Approach to Poker Tells

If you are reading this right now you have a current level of focus, understanding, bankroll etc. If you want to be able to practically apply behavior at the table you need to learn how to develop a customized system that is designed around your game.

THE SYSTEM SWAT ASSESSMENT Before you create your own system we need to see exactly where you are at. The System Strength and Weakness Assessment will allow you to see exactly where your strengths are so you can use that information to build a system that works for you..

THE 3 CRITICAL ADJUSTMENT POINTS Part of building your own system is knowing the exact moment where you need to adjust. Learn how to guarantee your system doesn’t crash by crafting an effective plan for adjustment.

THE 3-STEP PROCESS TO BACK TEST YOUR SYSTEM In finance there is a popular process known as “backtesting”. This is where a financial instrument is applied to historical data to see if it’s effective or not. It’s a way of testing without risk and we are going to learn exactly how to back test your customized system using footage of real recorded games.

STANDARDIZE YOUR BEHAVIOR IN A WAY THAT’S DOABLE AND SUSTAINABLE In order to eliminate the information you are giving off you need a system. We have created a very simple and effective 3-step system that will significantly reduce, and in most cases eliminate, your tells.

STEP-BY-STEP SYSTEM CREATION Creating a customized approach to behavior at the table is going to be one of the most rewarding and game changing things you will ever do. In Week 6 we will walk you through this process step by step so you can design an approach that’s perfect for you.

AN ANALYSIS OF 5 PLAYER SYSTEMS One of the most effective methods for building a system is to see a system deconstructed from beginning to end. In Week 6 I will fully deconstruct 5 custom systems and highlight the strengths and weaknesses of each.

ELIMINATE THE UNCONSCIOUS HABITS THAT Give off Your Card Strength I don’t know you. We have probably never played together before, but I can almost guarantee that you have tells. No matter how hard we try, humans fall into patterns - patterns that can be consciously or unconsciously picked up by an opponent. In Week 6 you will learn exactly how to eliminate these from your game.

SET BEHAVIORAL TRAPS AND DECEIVE Your Opponents The constant exposure to tells in the training leads to greater awareness of your own behavior and that of those around you. Learn to deceive your opponents by using your own behaviors to set traps for the very aware and focused players.

WEEK 7 - HIGHER LEVEL STRATEGY & IMPLEMENTATION

Learn to Balance Your Exploitation, Build a Behavioral Based Range, and Play the Most Effective Style of Poker

Poker is a complex game. When certain higher level concepts or tactics are taught the effects of those actions are often forgotten about. When we add behavior to our thought process we are going to be taking very atypical lines and actions at the table. In order for this to work and be a long term sustainable strategy we need to discuss the higher level strategy and implementation adjustments that are required and this is exactly what Week 7 will be about

OPTIMAL VS. ACTUAL STRATEGIES Creating an optimal strategy is one thing. Applying it is something else entirely. One of the most important aspects of poker is that there is a big difference between theory and application. In Week 7 we will not only be discussing higher level strategy and implementation but also showing you exactly how to apply it at the table.rks for you..

CREATING A MERGED BEHAVIORAL RANGE You might have heard of capped, polarized, and merged ranges. But have you heard of the “Merged Behavioral Range”? I think not. In Week 7 we will build an approach to live poker that is highly profitable to play and very difficult to exploit.

EXPLOITATION AND REACTION SIMULATIONS The best method for understanding the effects of our aggression is to practice it. In our exploitation and reaction simulations we will practice handling the changes in perception that occur when we play a highly aggressive style of the game.

MERGING YOUR OWN HIGHER LEVEL STRATEGIES WITH BEHAVIOR- A behavioral edge can be added to any strategy. It doesn’t matter if you have spent a year or two working with solvers or you have a more solid ABC style of play. We will discuss how to integrate a behavioral approach into any pre-existing strategy.

WEEK 8 - REINFORCE AND REFINE, AND THE POWER OF FEEDBACK LOOPS

Gain 10 Years of Live Read Experience in Just one 1 Week

If you were to sit down and play live poker. How long would it take you to actually verify if your live reads are correct? If you play a 6-hour session and see about 150 hands. You might get into a spot where you get to see exactly if your read was correct once or twice at most. This is one of the core problems with building confidence in your ability to read your opponents. You just never know for sure. Until now. In Week 8 you will apply EVERYTHING. You will watch walkthroughs, take practice tests and really start to see the power of your new skill set. The constant reinforcement will allow you to build feedback loops and significantly improve in a number of area.

BUILD RANGES AND TEST YOUR READS A core skill set in poker is learning how to build ranges. In Week 8 you will get the chance to construct your opponents’ ranges and then immediately after see if you are correct or not. This is a feature that isn’t available anywhere else and it is the ultimate method for improving your ability to narrow a range.

COMPARISON BREAKDOWNS Comparison breakdowns are an amazing way of becoming more aware of fluctuations in a player’s behavior. We will observe players in repeated spots, for example, every time they 3 bet. This will allow you to become hypersensitive to changes in behavior and give you ample practice in figuring out what those behaviors mean.

FULLY ASSESS YOUR CURRENT ABILITY TO READ BEHAVIOR AT THE TABLE After 7 weeks of learning to read behavior it’s time to really put those skills to the test. In Week 8 you will go through a full diagnostic of your ability to read behavior at the table. Doing this will allow us to see exactly where your skills are at and allow you to understand where you need to focus for further refinement.

THE SPOT BREAKDOWNS Our spot breakdowns are when we look at isolated spots with minimal information and establish reads. We will focus on 3bet/4bet/5bet spots, big turn and river spots, and a lot more. By analyzing specific situations you will be able to see certain trends and refine your process.

HAND WALKTHROUGHS The hands are the most powerful part of the body so we will spend a considerable amount of time breaking them down in hand walkthroughs. This is where we discuss how we can play against players just through observing movements in the hand and nothing else.

REINFORCEMENT PRACTICE TESTS Our reinforcement practice tests are designed to give you exposure to specific core concepts and their application. You will reinforce your ability to spot changes in hand movement, facial expressions, identifying bluffs versus extreme value and a lot more.ting strategy.

COMPLETE PLAYER WALKTHROUGHS In our player walkthroughs we will take a specific player and walk through every single hand they play. We will identify their tells, discuss their level of play, and develop strategies for countering and ultimately crushing how they approach the game.

WEEK 9 - THE DARK ARTS - ADVANCED PSYCHOLOGICAL MANIPULATION AT THE TABLE

Manipulate, Conceal, and Master the Art of Reverse Tells

The dark arts is all about the psychological manipulation of your opponents. These videos will teach you how to use conversations, reverse tells, psychological tricks, and social engineering to manipulate players at the table. The value that can be gained from asking questions at the right times, creating conversation, shifting your opponent's states, and subtly controlling your behavior is extensive. We will go over in detail the following topics.

EMOTIONS, ETHICS, AND EXPLOITS The dark arts are dark for a reason. Provocation, putting people on tilt, stalling in big postflop spots. Before we dive deep into manipulation we are going to start the chapter with a discussion of what is ethical and what is your personal comfort zone when it comes to manipulating your opponents at the table.

MASTERING CONVERSATIONAL MANIPULATORS We will go over simple but effective conversational strategies that will allow you to extract a player's level and thought process. Basically, this is about using timed questions and statements to extract the information you need from any player.

THE 4 STEP PROCESS TO EXECUTING THE REVERSE TELL Most players say “I give off reverse information all the time” but what they don’t understand is that they are really bad it. It actually makes them more exploitable. Learn a simple but effective 4-step process to subtly change your own behavior to influence your opponent's decisions.

THE ART AND SCIENCE OF TIMED STATEMENTS AND SPEECH PLAY The average player has no idea how valuable speech play is at the table. After fully understanding how to read behavior you will learn to manipulate it through timed statements. Saying the right things at the right times will cause players to break regulation and players who weren’t previously readable will become quite transparent.

THE DARK ARTS EXAMPLE AUDIO ARCHIVE The dark arts example audio archive features dozens of real recorded audio statements where Blake is practically applying everything taught in real games. The audio archive gives you the ability to see how the dark arts are applied in real live games.

WEEK 10 - TOURNAMENTS, TELLS, AND THE LAST EDGE

Create a Behaviorally Based Approach to Dominating Live Tournaments

While behavior is going to give you a substantial edge in live poker the value in tournaments is insane. We will spend Week 10 taking everything we learned and focusing on updating our approach for tournaments. In Week 10 we will go over the following:

WHY TOURNAMENTS ARE THE BEST FORMAT FOR TELLS Before we really dive into understanding how to alter our thinking about tells in tournaments we need to understand why they are so different. We will examine the 5 key reasons tournaments are the best format for tells so you will have a deeper understanding of the ways you can apply behavior in tournaments.

HUNTING HARRINGTON & CRAFTING TOURNAMENT PROFILES In Week 10 we will extend our player profiles to tournaments and creating opening ranges, calling ranges, etc based on specific behaviors of players. Trends in tournament education creates players with similar approaches. We will use behavior to identify these players and understand how they are approaching the game.

THE 3 CRITICAL MOMENTS AND HOW TO APPROACH THEM A tournaments structure will often dictate exactly how you should structure your approach to behavior. Learn how to analyze the structure of a tournament to determine when you are most likely to see leaks in behavior.

ANALYZING PUSH FOLD SPOTS - ICM + BEHAVIOR MASHUP We will take a look at specific PUSH/FOLD spots and discuss how behavior can be used to adjust the way you think about calling and shoving in standard tournament spots. After you learn this you will never look at a 10bb stack the same way again.

15 CRITICAL TOURNAMENT SPOTS DISSECTED The Beyond Tells study included 5 sit and goes. We will take footage from these real recorded tournaments and dissect 15 critical spots to reinforce everything we learned in Week 10.

STRUCTURE, TELLS, AND AVOIDING BAD TOURNAMENTS A tournaments structure will often dictate exactly how you should structure your approach to behavior. Learn how to analyze the structure of a tournament to determine when you are most likely to see leaks in behavior.

BALANCING EXPLOITS IN TOURNAMENTS Our approach to tournaments is going to be quite different than what you normally see. Shoving 100bb stacks with the nuts and bluffs is the type of behavior that after a while will seem normal. In Week 10 we will go over exactly how to balance your attacks so you don’t become predictable and easy to exploit.

WEEK 11 - THE COGNITIVE ATHLETE - ADVANCED MENTAL PREPARATION AT THE TABLE

Increase Your Focus, Attention, Awareness, and Health at the Poker Table

Attention, awareness, and memory are vital to being a great poker player. What separates the best players in the world from really good players is not always a superior understanding of strategy, but rather a high level of control over their emotions. It’s what makes poker such a human game. In the Cognitive Athlete you will learn exactly how to use your own nonverbal behaviors to create a customized checklist system that will help you with the following:

UNDERSTANDING THE ORDER OF COGNITIVE OPTIMIZATION Cognitive optimization is a very complicated process and an entire year long course could probably be dedicated towards teaching the subtle aspects of optimizing human performance. Before we dive into improving your ability to play better poker we are going discuss how you determine what areas you should work on first and why.

THE FOOD STACKING EXPERIMENT While there are certain universal nutritional principles, everyone is ultimately different. Learn how to conduct specific food stacking experiments to optimize what foods you should and shouldn’t be eating and when.

It actually makes them more exploitable. Learn a simple but effective 4-step process to subtly change your own behavior to influence your opponent's decisions.

BLAKE’S ULTIMATE OPTIMIZATION RESOURCE LIST Part of the value of Week 11 is that I have personally done so much research into this area so you don’t have to. The Jump Start method is designed to get you back to a higher level of thinking at the table before you even sit down.

THE ULTIMATE POKER TELL GROWTH STUDY PLAN You are always going to be working on improving your ability to read and conceal behavior at the table. However, everyone has a different level of time and desire when it comes to on table growth. In Week 12 we will craft a solid plan that revolves around your commitment to the game.

ADJUSTING TO OTHER VARIANTS OF POKER In Beyond Tells we studied primarily no limit hold’em. But behavior can be an edge in every variation of the game. In Week 12 we will discuss how you can adjust our system to any game.

ESTABLISHING YOUR POKER CIRCLE Having a solid group of players you can discuss tells and behavior with is essential to continued growth in this game. We will go over how to build your poker circle, run your study groups, and more.

In Week 12, we will spend time dissecting spots where our reads were incorrect and determining exactly why they happened. This process allows you to make sure you are not making the same mistakes over and over when it comes to reading behavior.

THE FINAL ASSESSMENT In Week 12 we will conduct the final assessment. A full breakdown of your ability to read behavior at the table. You will also compare your answers and statements from the beginning of the course to see how much you have grown as a player.

THE PLATFORM

Train, Reinforce, and Practice Everything You Need to Fully Master This Skill Set on a Highly Diverse Group of Players and Stakes

The goal of the Beyond Tells studies was not only to analyze behavior but to build an archive of footage so we could use it to train. This creates a bias view of a players behavior. Beyond Tells contains fully interrupted video feeds of every player so you can simulate what it would actually be like to play with them in real time. We have both tournaments and cash games ranging from low to high stakes.
